Alone, Together (2008)

While practicing a vanishing act, magician Robert Wexford accidentally causes his assistant and girlfriend Jean to disappear. Robert goes to Jean’s apartment, only to discover that the key no longer works. The apartment superintendent informs him that the apartment has been unoccupied for several months. Robert receives a mysterious phone call, in which Jean’s voice is heard on the other end. She seems to be in distress. In a panic, he calls Jean’s mother, who claims she never had a daughter. Robert becomes lost in thought, hoping Jean will reappear. Seeking guidance, Robert visits Leo, a magician who’s act caused a woman to become comatose. Their conversation results in Robert taking action. He decides to enter the box used in the vanishing act. He too disappears, leaving behind only memories.
