“Letters Across Borders” takes place in the winter of 1973 along the 38th Parallel between North and South Korea, on a road that was used for POW transfers. The film is about Kim Yong Dae, a North Korean soldier and Park Sun Hong, South Korean soldier. The young men carryout a secret friendship and a mission to bring hope to the people on either side of the demilitarized zone. They pass along letters to families who have been separated by the Korean War every week at dawn. As their relationship grows, the characters must struggle to decide between their hopes, and those of the letters they’re delivering.
