"Lipstick" is a 50's period piece about an African American woman with an extremely over active imagination. Clara the main Character has quickly fallen into the nitch of superficiality; her two main rolls in life are to now insure the cleanliness of the house, and to make sure food is on the table promptly at 6:00pm, the exact time her lover always returns home from work. When Clara discovers her love interest is running late. She begins to dream up scenarios on what could be holding him. Each different scenario Clara thinks up a mysterious woman eludes her thoughts. The audience is then lead to believe that this allusive woman is Clara’s lovers ex wife. As time progresses Clara's scenarios become more and more over dramatized and unrealistic. Getting to the point where the audience becomes lost in her mental state of mind. Not knowing if what is happening is valid, or just another segment of Clara’s warped sense of reality. By the end of the film it starts becoming apparent that Clara may not be what she seems to be. Rather then Clara being this mans wife, she is only his house made that is overly infatuated with him, and often fantasizes about the two of then running off together. The mysterious woman that shows up multiple times in Clara’s vivid daydreams turns out to be her lovers actual wife who Clara is insanely jealous of.

This film will take a journey through the mind of an overly paranoid woman with an extremely over active imagination. The main shooting style of this film would be new age Technicolor, however the stiles of the film will very from each scenario she dreams up. Going anywhere from classic noir to tilt shift, but making sure to keep the integrity of the film relatable to what fell suit in previous scenes.

we have already casted are main lead Clara but we desperately need supporting rolls filled. We will be holding auditions on january 13th at a Savannah College of art and design location that is TBA as of right now. but we strongly encourage you to come out and audition we would love for you to be apart of the production.
