"Normalcy" is a short independent film about a defining moment in four young people's lives.
The film focuses on Adam, a film student at the local college, and Lowe, a singer who organizes the Open Mic Nights at a local coffee shop that Adam works at. Adam has been in love with Lowe ever since the first Open Mic Night three years ago, but has never had the courage to tell her. Supporting characters Field and Stacey have just broken up after being together since freshman year of high school. Field is an English major at the local college and Adam's best friend. Stacey is a senior in high school and is very involved in theater there. On the closing night of the coffee shop, Adam finds the courage to confess his love to Lowe, while Field and Stacey learn what it means to move on.

Casting Call! Actors and extras wanted for the short independent film, "Normalcy" (title pending). Produced and Directed by Micah Rowell, written by Kelly Gibbons. Currently in pre-production, filming dates TBA. **Please specify which role you are interested in or if you want to be an extra!** Actors, please send a headshot with contact information to micahj.photography@gmail.com. We will contact you if we are interested with further information such as audition dates when they are scheduled. Short character descriptions: (Main) Lowe - Female, 19 years old. Singer, organizes Open Mic Nights at a local coffee shop. Very outgoing, passion for art and expression, yet ironically tries to hide her feelings. Worn out jeans with holes, Chuck Taylor shoes which match the same description. Worn out vintage band t-shirt. Doesn't put much effort into her look which makes her more attractive. (Main) Adam - Male, 21 years old. Studying film at the local college. Fell in love with Lowe at the first Mic Night three years ago, but won't tell her. Shy but expressive. Generally wears slacks and a sweater with Chuck Taylor shoes. (Supporting) Field - Male, 20 years old. English major at the local college and Adam's best friend. Writes a lot of poetry but doesn't have much confidence in his work. Has been dating Stacey since near the start of high school. Tall and lanky. Usually wears collared long sleeve shirt with a t-shirt over, blue jeans and flip flops. Prefer glasses, but optional. (Supporting) Stacey - Female, 18 years old. Senior in high school, very involved in theater. Finds being "normal" boring and is constantly looking to differentiate herself from others. Wears all black except for random accessories of vibrant colors. Very thin, medium to tall in height.
