In 1990, two high school students, Christian and Jason, decide to remake Fritz Lang’s 1931 noir film “M” as a musical set in then present day. During production, the friends fight over the choreographer Melodi. When the film wraps, the two friends part ways. Eight years later, a copy of their remake “Yo, M!” resurfaces at a local yard sale. With the help of their friend Daphne, the film brings them back together and they decide to pay a visit to Melodi. While the two boys haven’t changed much over the years, Melodi certainly has.
