SCAD Filmmakers reach out to local and regional talent for short film productions.

The Savannah College of Art and Design’s Film and Television Department is inviting all local and regional talent interested in acting in a short film production to attend the open Spring Casting Call. Men, women and children of all ages and ethnicities are encouraged to come meet the filmmakers and discuss projects that go into production in the spring and summer quarters. Planned productions include narrative films in a wide variety of genre’s, music videos and documentaries.
The event will be held in Adler Hall (532 Indian St., Savannah, GA, 31401) from 10am to 4pm on February 26th. Refreshments will be provided.
No prior experience necessary. Participants are encouraged to bring a headshot or any other promotional tool they may have. If selected, they will be given material to prepare for an audition at a later date.
SCAD encourages exploration in a variety of production types, including narrative, documentary, experimental cinema, music video, television programming and new media. Student films have been showcased at Sundance, Cannes, the Los Angeles Film Festival, the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, South by Southwest, the Palm Springs Film Festival, and many others.
