A poor boy from the deep-South sticks, Pete, used to a bland life of hard work, has developed a novel way of seeing the world. Pete bikes into town with Succotash, his dog, to wash store windows for spare change. The town is, for Pete and maybe Pete alone, filled with kind folks who look out for poor boys--except for the owner of a new shop, one with terribly dirty windows. This angry man employs Wendy, a beautiful, quiet girl whose hidden agonies only Pete sees. It's suddenly up to this boy to restore the town to its beauty, and to make that beauty visible to everyone else, before he loses sight of it forever

Pete, a gregarious and imaginative young lad who has known hard work and earning his keep from the get-go uses imagination to get through the tough times in his life. He bikes into town with his faithful companion Succotash, a lovable, dirty mutt, to wash store windows for spare change. The quant town is filled with kind old people who look out for Pete, except for a new shop that has gone into town, with heinously dirty windows that befoul the whole block. The owner of the store, James, is a two faced, egotistical, jerk who employs Wendy, a beautiful, quiet girl whom he takes advantage of. Pete must save Wendy from James, and restore the town to it’s familiar beauty.

I have a beautiful, quiet 17 year old daughter and a number of small dogs that could work as Succotash. Let me know if you're interested.
