The Fakers is a 10-15 minute short film set in the modern day. Our main characters, Jerry and Jill, are your normal, white, well off middle aged couple whose kids have left the nest. With nothing else to do, they start a small group where they fake random robberies on each other just to keep some excitement in their lives. When Jerry's eccentric boss asks Jerry for marital advice, Jerry introduces him to the idea. During the subsequent robbery, played out for the first time with Jerry in the "assault" role, a couple of Mormon solicitors come to the house and decide to act. One Mormon, who happens to have a gun, pulls it out on Jerry, who has to explain his relationship with his boss, and thusly the entire idea behind his group. The Mormon, in an act of judgment, decides that these sick heathens deserve what they ask for, and decides to rob them so he can use the money for a new church. Jerry steps in and... well that would give too much away.

I work at a local tv station in Savannah. Would love to go thru the audition process and possibly do a BTS story on what happens when a movie goes into production.
