A self-indulged writer struggles to find inspiration through random materials in his room, causing him to have doubts about several short stories he’s developed. The writer’s stories/ideas are pinned up along his bedroom walls. Among these papers are various newspaper articles, publications, and random materials that he has put up for inspiration. His story segments will be partially narrated by himself through visual storytelling. After aggressively pacing around the room, in frustration, he rips off all the paper among his walls. He then collapses onto his desk, resting his head in a pile of papers. As he lies there, he notices sticking out from within the pile is one of his original short stories. He grabs it, and discovers it is the idea he’s been searching for all along.

Short story ideas:
• Ex-con is released from jail and explains that while he was in jail, he found religion. Continues to confess that he’s a changed man, and wishes that everyone could experience the faith that he’s developed. Takes it on himself to preach the “good word” in public.
• Cocky soccer star aspires to be something big. Has everything a person could want. Short story becomes symbolic of selfish aspirations, or just having inspiration for personal gain.
• Musician enjoys life and music, and doesn’t really have any big ambitions. Is shown that he is inspired by practically everything he sees, or just life in general. The character is totally satisfied just playing music for people to hear.

Casting:
We’ll need plenty of extras, so as far as casting, that’s always an option.

However, apart from extras, we still need four main actors.
• Writer- preferably a middle-aged man (30 and up)
• Preacher- African American male
• Musician- younger male
• Athlete- younger male, good shape
(Depending on acting abilities, standards might change)

We plan to shoot the film in last few weeks of February, and we’ll likely establish a date for a casting call earlier in the month.
